I have decided to dedicate this sub-page of the Mercury Junior (big M) page to this outstanding creation! I have a particular interest in this car since I found it in the before condition. I ended up selling it to another collector Steve Price who did the restoration/modification to look like his full size 1957 Mercury Turnpike cruiser pace car.

This is a real over the top restoration with many modifications to match the style of the full size car. My favorite would be the continental kit! Steve told me that it was a big hit at the fall Hersey show and I am sure this car will make some appearances on the east coast next year where ropes will need to be placed a distance from the car to keep the drool of many a child and those that are children at heart off of the car. All I can say is WOW! Let this be a source of inspiration for all you other junior restorers out there whether you are doing a stock restoration or a major modified car like this!

I will be adding more pages like this that highlight individual cars in the future. I am always looking for more images and would love to feature unmolested originals for the restoration crowd. And also full restorations and modifications like this one for inspiration to all those project cars out there waiting for their day in the spotlight.

I have started a Resourses page that I will list known available original parts and reproduction parts for Powercar products. I have also started to compile a list of surviving cars. but the list is only as good as the information that I am provided. or as good as i am able to update it. if you have information to share or parts to sell let me know.

Use of images and information on this website for Magazine articles/car club newsletters

If you want to use information or images from this website for magazine articles please contact me so that I can help by providing more information addition images or Higher resolution images. So little is known about these little cars that education of the collecting public can only help find more of them and find more parts or parts sources for them. Generally I only ask for of a copy of the final issue and mention of the website in the article in return. Even though promotional cars have been around for a long time they have only recently become very collectable. Any article written about them can only help to find “Automotive archeologists” With information on these rare and unusual mini cars
