These are parts I make, Originally I made them because I needed them for my own car but there has been a demand from other restorers for more parts. This is the only way I offset the cost of running this site and making more molds for parts. So if you provide me with a core to make a mold you not only get free parts you also help keep this site running.
If you know of any other available parts please let me and everyone else know by adding it to the restoration parts and suppliers forum for parts and service provided by others.

Available original parts!

I have found that the original tires for the Mustang Jr. gas powered and adult electric are still available from the original manufacturer (Carlisle tire) they are a 4.10/3.50-5 2 ply tire that can be ordered though cedar rapids tire by calling them at. 1(800) 467-7325 they cost $10.21ea. and are part #519-0301 they have them in stock shipping was $9.73 within Iowa. They do not have the original Indian head insignia and they are marked slightly different but they maintain the original appearance of miniaturized car tire with the correct tread.

I also found that the Imitation park light and back-up light lenses on my 67 Mustang junior are made with standard 1 5/16" dish shaped automotive freeze plugs. You can pick these up from your local automotive parts store. My originals had the size stamped on the inside curve of the plug and the new ones are stamped on the outside so they will need sanded and painted before they are installed.

So little is known about these little cars that education of the collecting public can only help find more of them and find more parts or parts sources for them. Generally I only ask for of a copy of the final issue and mention of the website in the article in return. Even though promotional cars have been around for a long time they have only recently become very collectable. Any article written about them can only help to find “Automotive archeologists” With information on these rare and unusual mini cars
